About Kansa Vataki

The heart of Kansa Vataki is the metal bowl that is on the end of a wooden wand. The Kansa wand is a beautiful healing tool, a golden, historical metal that calms the mind and harmonizes the body.  The word Kansa comes form the Sanskrit (India's sacred language) "Kamsya", which simply means "bronze", a metal alloy made primarily of copper (copper relieves pain, inflammation, arthritis), tin (tin relieves headaches and insomnia) and zinc (zinc boosts immune system, digestion, good for diabetes) which gives the particular bronze used a soft glow and powerful healing effect.  The word Vataki comes form the Sanskrit word "Vatak" which means round referring to the dome capped shape of the wand.

Kansa Vataki is an Ayurvedic treatment from India that has been used for centuries. To this day in India, bronze is still known as "the healing metal" having long ago been discovered to help relieve all kinds of pain and provide a gentle detoxifying effect.  Kansa is said to draw out heat, acidity, inflammation and toxins from the body.  On a more subtle level the high electrical conductivity of the metal blend may be the reason why this tool works on the subtle electromagnetic system of the body that runs in both the meridians and the chakras, having a balancing and revitalizing effect by amplifying the body's natural bio-electrical network.

And, as it is using your body's own natural currents, any of the side effects of such machinery as galvanic stim for pain or low current stim for face lifting are avoided while creating the same or similar beneficial results.  Kansa can be safely used on people that have pacemakers and metal dental work as well and has been used for centuries to enhance health and strength, increase energy, improve circulation, support general well-being, relieve stress and provide gentle face lifting...it is extremely safe as it is completely natural, involving no electronic gadgets, batteries, harmful radiations or even chemicals and continues to yield benefits of renewed vitality, vigor and radiance going forward.

About Kansa Vataki Treatments
(sessions may be combined, introductory price starts at $45.00)

Kansa Vataki treatments involve the use of Ghee (made by boiling off the milk solids from unsalted butter leaving only the golden liquid behind), Jojoba oil or Coconut oil combined with various enriching, specialized and Essential Oils and when used in combination with the healing Kansa bronze  produces a powerful effect on the body's energies.... particularly the *"Marma Points".
(*Marma Points are Ayurvedic energy points.  Each Marma is connected to nerve endings throughout the body -- by lightly pressing on these Marma energy points, the internal organs and Doshas within the body are strengthened.  In Ayurveda the five elements that are found in all living things -- ether, air, fire, water and earth -- are the building blocks of life.   While this foundation unites all humans, the manifestation of those elements through the doshas is what gives rise to our differences.  How the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) appear, and in what proportions, is what makes each of us unique.)
The treatments are  pleasurable and calming to the entire nervous system.

Kansa Vataki, Facial Treatment:

We start this luxurious natural skin care session with fresh clean skin onto which Jojoba oil is gently pressed.  Jojoba oil is actually a wax, not an oil...it is closest to the skin's own sebum and is considered non-congestive.,  The oil provides the perfect surface for the wand to move gently and smoothly across delicate facial skin.  I also use optional specialized Essential Oils that are based on individual dosha types.  This session includes Kansa Vataki techniques for the head, neck and shoulders, the result of which is a calm yet re-energized mind, a fresh, vibrant and glowing face, a lessening of fine lines, additional fullness and a gentle face-tightening effect to facial skin.

Kansa Vataki, Pedi-Karma (Foot Treatment):

Happiness is a Kansa Vataki Foot Treatment after a long day, this treatment will alleviate the stress and other effects that have accumulated and induce a state of deep relaxation. Excellent for people who experience eye strain due a lot of computer work or looking at Gameboys, Ipads, or Iphones or doing a lot of technical, focused type work.  Here I may use an Anise lotion that is wonderful for pulling out a lot of the heat and intensity that occurs from staring at something in a concentrated way. The treatment  involves the use of Ghee (clarified butter) or Coconut oil. Other customized Essential Oils may be used for this type of treatment as well.  This process is eases stress, is re-energizing and promotes deep, relaxing sleep.

Kansa Vataki, Full Body Treatment:

With the use of Coconut Oil and Essential Oil of Nutmeg, stress and muscle tension melt away, a relaxing, soothing treat for the body and soul.  Beginning with the crown of the head, subtle energies are soothed, tense shoulders are relaxed, unpleasant buried emotions are eased as your whole being becomes settled and grounded.  Sciatic pain is eased, the adrenal glands, the liver, spleen, stomach and bladder toned, muscle tension is eased, blood circulation improved and fresh energy is brought to the entire body. Think of this session as a tune up for your whole body, experiencing a relaxed body and calm mind so that you feel clearer and able to rest or go out there  and shine in the world.

Kansa Vataki, Tibetan Marma Treatment for Psychological Stress, Anxiety and Panic:

Marma points are the vital, hidden energy/communication centers used in Ayurveda in a way similar to which acupressure points are used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Marma Therapy focuses on subtle aspects of who are are as spiritual beings having a human experience. Marmas close due to physical or emotional trauma, poor digestion, and/or environmental toxins and cause problems such as dryness,, congestion, oiliness, sensitivities and discoloration. When Marmas are open (by exercise, aroma, sound, color and touch...a vital tool) we feel well cared for and remain healthy, relaxed and youthful.

In this session I use a Marma tool, a very specialized Kansa Vataki wand using light pressure or repetitive small circular strokes, both of which activate and gently open the energy centers dissolving stress and strain in a very mild, easy and effective way.  You will leave feeling well rested and at ease...your nervous system deeply nourished.  You may find yourself experiencing better decision making power and having more clarity and mental focus as well !
